Typically ribs are coated in a thick, sugary BBQ sauce, and even dry rubbed ribs often contain brown sugar as a primary ingredient in the rub. Given that KETO isn’t about depriving yourself, it’s about eating the right way, we sometimes have to modify or cut out things that we leaned was ok, but really isn’t. Don’t forget to remove the membrane if it is present. Some butcher shops will do this for you, but many will leave it on as well. This membrane is a thin but very tough layer that can ruin the experience of eating the ribs if not removed. (you could totally throw it in the InstantPot with the bones after the meal for some bone broth!) While choosing your meat try going organic grass fed and avoid completely frozen meat, when you have variations of pork a pig from poultry farm is the best choice.
A comforting and delicious hotdish that your family will love, that is quick and easy enough for any night of the week. I recommend serving a cool, bright salad on the side. One of my favorites is a balsamic dressing over spinach and arugula with blueberries, almonds, and feta.
This delicious ‘pibeetto‘ cheese recipe is a safe version of Pimento cheese and is quick and so easy to make! It contains common ingredients and of course it’s NAGless.
I have no idea why; but broccoli gets eaten by the double portions (usually with seconds) here in our home. Not complaining, as broccoli is FULL of good things, and delicious to boot, but it sometimes gets boring using our standard oil, salt&pepper roasted standby. This is a great option to shake things up, but still get them trees into your diet.
My Nana wasn’t the best cook. She used packets for gravy, boxes for potatoes, stuffing, and canned soup. She fed her family on a shoestring though; and it was a different time in the world. This recipe is one I stumbled upon years and years ago. Since we went NAG free, I’ve modified it to be safe, but it’s still as delicious as the first time I had it at a USAF squadron function years ago.
Instead of opening up a can of condensed soup, and thereby avoiding a bunch of sketchy ingredients you cannot pronounce, make this easy, creamy, and flavorful condensed cream of chicken soup with supplies you likely have on hand.
